Nanny Available - I started babysitting at the age of 11. I was a single mother for 4 years (now married) and I have watched infant twins while also taking care of my son. I currently occasionally watch three siblings ages 9, 6 and 2 and my son goes with me. I am a mother of a 5yr old boy who has just started Kindergarten. This is my first time to think about being a full time nanny since I have left the corporate world in 2005. I recently got married and I would love to have a bigger family someday. I am looking for something to get me out of the house now that my son is in school. My availability would be 8am-7pm; I would be meeting my son's bus at 4:00PM but have no problem bringing him back to your house. I believe in allowing children to have a voice while also maintaining the fact that I have the last word. I am structured and organized but not inflexible. I use Timeout as the main form of discipline as well as incorporating some grounding of toys or items as needed, there will be no spanking. I believe in being firm, fair, consistent and clear in what I expect from children as well as my peers. However I do not believe in disciplining children under the age of one, I will love, be consistent and clear but I will not do timeout, spank etc.I had a great childhood as a Navy brat. As a child I wanted a large family of 8 kids. I would say that I am a loving and warm person, I love children and I don't get frazzled easily. Whether you have one or five I can promise that I will enjoy them! My son is easygoing, polite, and loves other kids, especially babies.
