Great Summer 2008 Nanny Available

Nanny Available - Hi, I will have this summer off from school and would love to nanny for your family. Let me tell you a little about myself. I'm a senior in college, and will be graduating in December of 2008 with a BA in Psychology. I hope to get my masters in Child Psychology and eventually work with at-risk children. I have worked in child care for the last 4 years. I've worked as an assistant teacher in two separate centers; I've supervised children in a church nursery; and I was a nanny for two children in the summer of 2007. I have also baby-sat for a family for about 7 years as well as for younger cousins since around the age of 12. I have had experience with children of all ages, infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school age. I am certified in CPR, First Aid, and trained in Shaken Baby Syndrome. I believe in providing a safe, caring, nurturing and stimulating environment in your home in which your children can develop and grow. I love to do art projects, painting, coloring, gluing, cutting, tie dye, paper machete, etc. I love reading to children, or having them read to me if they are able, and taking trips to the library. I like playing outside, and believe that is where children should spend a lot of their time in the summer. I like to take walks, swim, play games, go to the park etc. I have my own car that safely fits three children in the back seat. I love to take trips to the children's museum, or science museum, beach, park, or other activities. I am very familiar with the Stillwater, Lake Elmo, Woodbury, and Oakdale areas, as well as the summer activities in these towns, but wouldn't mind learning a new area for the right family. I am open to all ages, but would prefer three children or less as I cannot safely accommodate more in my vehicle. I am seeking a full time position, hours are very flexible, and pay is negotiable. I would be able to start as soon May 12 and would be available until August 22. I have references available upon request and would be willing to submit to a background check.
