Nanny Available - Hello! My name is Tricia and I am 29 years old. I have just recently graduated from the Educational Assistant program with an AAS degree. While completing my program I fulfilled my internship at the 'Beans Plus Child Care' center. This was a WONDERFUL experience for me that helped to confirm that child care is what I want to be doing as a career. My boss Kris was so impressed with my involvement with the children right away that she offered to pay me for my internship along with a part time position. The hardest day for me while there was the day I had to leave because of graduation. I also had a 2 week practicum where I observed a Paraprofessional at an elementary school. Here is a list of just SOME of the classes I took while at Ridgewater College:Child Development 1 & 2, Special Education 1 & 2, Activity Ideas, Language Arts, Computer Programs, Behavior Management, Math Activities, Crisis Prevention and Intervention.I am also Certified in CPR and First Aid. Besides all that is listed above I have many years of babysitting and I take care of my 2 nieces and 3 nephews a lot. I really enjoy spending time with them and enjoy watching them grow older. In general I think that all children need to feel loved and accepted in order to grow and become who they were meant to be. I know that these days it is hard financially to support a family. Because of this parents have to work long hours sometimes and can't always spend the time they want to with their children. I hope to be able to help families with this area. If I can help a child to understand and to let them know that I care for them, then things will be better for everyone. I have known for a long time that working with children is what I want to do as a career and I can't imagine myself doing anything else.
