I was employed 4 years as a teacher's aide. I loved it there. It was a challenge but so worth it. My daily routine consisted of taking kids off the bus, helping them put their book bags and lunches away, and assisting them during 30-minute rotation classes throughout the day. I worked hand over hand on writing with some students, helped potty train, change diapers, and teach such things as tying their shoes. Assisting each teacher in teaching numbers, letters, patterns, colors, speech and even writing their names. I have ample experience in working with children of ages 3-21 and of all different levels of developmental and behavioral disabilities. During babysitting hours I try to entertain children instead of allowing them to sit in front of a TV.
