Nanny and light housekeeping

Nanny Needed - Seeking Nanny/Housekeeper to help with 2 children, boy (6) / girl (7), and to do light household chores. The children are being home schooled. The perfect person for this position will be very mature, with an upbeat, kind, loving and easy-going disposition, nurturing, fluent in English, have a valid drivers license, social security card, good driving record, a non-smoker, their own reliable transportation and proof of insurance. Prefer someone with experience, at least as a babysitter, and references are a must. Light housekeeping, laundry and meal prep are also part of the position. Duties will include for the most part, but not limited to: -Playing with the children -Leading children in home school lessons daily, meeting with the home schoolteacher as needed, monitoring childrens progress and making sure they are keeping up with lessons/exams and following the home school calendar. -Taking children to extracurricular activities, i.e. gymnastics, art, library, school field trips, park, play dates, etc.,.... -Supervising children when they are at play -Maintaining neat and organized work area for home schooling. -Preparing lunch -Occasional doctors visit. - Light laundry (2-3) loads of laundry weekly (usually just the childrens clothes) -Emptying the trash daily in the kitchen and childrens bathroom -Setting out and bringing in the trash cans 1x a week -Some grocery/errand shopping -Spot clean children's bathroom. Little boys often miss, so sponging around the toilet is necessary periodically. -Wash breakfast and lunch dishes and possibly dinner from night before. Our meals are prepared on the weekends so dinner dishes are minimal. -Empty dishwasher as needed -Vacuum 1x a wk -At the end of the day, or throughout the day, have the children straighten up their bedrooms. Pick up after themselves / pick up after children. This is what the position has entailed thus far, however depending on what comes up on a daily basis other items may arise. Every so often there has been the need to come in early for a school field trip or stay late. Our current nanny is wonderful. She is pursuing graduate school and leaving us mid February.
