My most common punishment for bad behavior is "Time-outs" or " Loss of Privilege". I try to listen carefully to the children to understand what happened before I make a decision on how to discipline. I never would spank or slap the children. I leave any harsher punishment to the parents. I would of course let the parents know if and why I had to discipline their children. When a child cries, I try to comfort him by holding and hugging him. I try to understand what happened to make him sad. I believe the children that I take care of feel my sincere care and love.
